We went to our friends and all carved pumpkins. We also made cookies. It was a fun and festive time. After we carved pumpkins Tarl and I came home and decided to camp out in the family room. We brought our twin mattress from the guest bed out and put it in front of the couch. This is a fun thing we do every now and then! Sleep over!

1+2=3...
I AM PREGGO! That's right. We are adding a new addition to our family. I am 12 weeks and 3 days as of today. I have my second doctors appointment this week, and can not wait to hear the heartbeat. My due date is April 30th, which will be great! Below is my ultrasound at almost 9 weeks so there is not a whole lot to see!

Dude Ranch....
So also in Colorado my whole family went for a weekend retreat at a dude ranch up in the mountains. It was beautiful. It got a little cold, but overall was great. We swam in the lake, played on the canoes (by playing I mean flipped eachother over...at the same time, and had to drag the canoes back to shore since they were both sunk!), and we played on the paddle boats. We got awesome meals made for us every meal, played tennis, and played lots of card games with the other family friends that went up there too. It was a great end to our vacation!
Rockies Games....
We went to Colorado right after spending time with family in Utah (watching my cousins). We were able to go to 2 Rockies VS Dodgers games. It is really fun to go to these games because I am a die hard Rockies fan, and Tarl is a die hard Dodgers fan. My team won the first game, and Tarl's one the second. I would have liked the Rockies to win both, but I guess this made us even! The first game my dad scored 10 tickets. My parents, grandparents, and siblings (that are still at home) all got to go. The next game it was just Tarl, Courtney, Chris and me, but it was still a blast!

Babysitting....
We went to my Uncle Jared and Aunt Lissettes for 4 days to watch their children. We had a really fun time, and were able to do some fun things with them. Esher loved to play the Wii with Tarl, in fact they all liked to play the Wii. We had brought Bomberman Land and it was huge hit. We went to Chuck-E-Cheeses, and the children got so so so many tickets!

Family....
Tarl and I were so excited to have my parents and siblings come stay with us. They came up 2 weekends in a row, and did EFY in Utah in-between each weekend. We all went to the sand dunes and jumped off the edge. We made a letter "B" for Blanchard (my maiden name) in the sand with our bodies, and then on the way home somehow stopped at the water park. We got soaked, and then had to squeeze in the back of my subaru home so that we didn't get EVERYTHING wet! It was all together a great weekend(s)!

Anniversary...
IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS!!!! Wow...that went fast. We really have had a great 2 years and have done many many fun things together. (see posts below to catch up on us!) Our anniversary was on a tuesday so we really could not do much for it on that day. We went to Olive Garden where I was proposed to and given my real ring. (whole other story!!) We celebrated our anniversary more that weekend! For our anniversary we went to a little cabin up by Kelly Canyon Ski Resort. It was called Cutthroat Inn. We checked in on Friday and we were going to go snowboarding but the resort closed due to the lack of snow. They were going to open on Saturday for the last day of the season. So we headed to IF and went shopping a bit. We came back and went to dinner at a cute little pizza parlor by the cabin. After pizza we went to hot springs that were also right near the cabin. Saturday morning we woke up early (like 9) and geared up for a day of snowboarding. We had a fun day of snowboarding together. We really have improved since the beginning of the season. It is a fun thing we now have to do together when it is so snowy and cold here in Rexburg!

Snowboarding...
We are really getting the hang of it and are starting to be able to carve a lot better. Tarl even went off a jump, got some air, and landed it...TWICE! Snowboarding has really given us something to love during the winter. Saturday, February 14, 2009

Snowboarding...
Friday night my friend Karen and I were trying to decide what on earth we wanted to do on Saturday. Our hubbys both coach Rigby Highs wrestling team, and they had a tournament all day and work all night after. So last minute we decided we would go snowboarding. I did not have a board, but someone on the wrestling team had one for me to borrow. We went to his house late that night to pick it up. The next morning we got ready and went to Kelly Canyon for a half day of boarding. We both had not been in a while and just thought a half day would be good, and we were right. We were so pooped after 4 hrs we were ready to go. It was just us girls, and we had a blast. We hope to go again soon! In the pic it looks like I wet myself, but we had taken off our snow clothes, and well my pants were not exactly waterproof like they should have been so my pants got soked, and so did my hoodie. I was freezing!

Jobs...
Well this January Tarl and I both started new jobs. Tarl is coaching wrestling for Rigby High (not new), and is now working at Dairy Queen with his friend Steve. He works there about 2 nights a week. I was hired as a head teacher for the preschool labs on campus. We have preschool on tues/thurs and then all the other planning outside of the actual lab counts too. We met the kids, and had them start coming on thursday the 22nd (yesterday). It was so much fun to be in the classroom, and teaching. I have a class of 21 children, and I supervise 6 college students as they learn how to make and conduct their own lesson plans. It is a fun and rewarding job! The picture is of me and Curious George. Every day we have a child take him home with a bag full of books. They then draw or put picture in a paper bound book and write about it. I did it the first day, and this is the picture I took for it!
Christmas...(I know it's a bit late!)
Well I am so sorry there are no pictures. We forgot our camera so we are relying on our family to provide us the pics. I hope to get them soon! To tell you short what we did here goes it: We spent a few days with Tarl's Dad and Step Mom Elaine. On Christmas morning we opened presents with them, and had breakfast. We then drove to his Mom and Step Dad Alan's place in Weiser. We here opened presents, and hung out all day. After Christmas we went up to McCall. it is a ski resort town. We stayed here for about a week. We went ice skating twice, and tubing twice. We watched a few movies, had dinner with the family, and played lots of games. It was a fun time. When I get picures I will go more into detail, but untill then let your minds try and figure out the details!

Off The Road...
For Christmas Tarl and I went down to his family. We headed to Nampa, ID in our little honda civic. We were about an hour from Nampa when a car in front of us cut us off, and slammed on his brakes. Why did he slam on his brakes you may be asking? That is an excellent question. The only answer we can think of is that there was a van off the road and stuck in the snow bank. Could this cause a car to slam on his brakes just to take a look? Well he did, and it wasn't to see if he could help because he too was driving a little car with no guts. So as he slams on his brakes we start getting closer to him. Tarl lets off the gas as soon as he sees the brakes hit. He starts trying to get in the other lane since there was no car there, but right where we were was a patch of ice, and we started fishtailing all over the road. All I could think of was..."Is another car going to hut us?" We ended up sliding off the road into a snow bank. (see picture below) We were stuck.
We thought of ways to get out, and I hopped out of the car and started kicking the snow away from the tires. I kept thinking, "Man oh man I hope another car doesn't slide off the road into us!" (since we weren't too far off the highway.) We thought maybe we can rock out of it. We started to rock it, and probably would have eventually got out, but a man in a Big truck came and pulled us right out. He was very kind to do so!

We were so glad to have someone nice enough to pull us out. We were back on the road and ready to go. Just a mile up the road another car was off the road. As we entered Boise we saw at least 2 other cars off the road. It was not such a great driving day, but we made it with nothing hurt to the car or ourselves!

BLACK FRIDAY...
Well all the girls decided it would be fun to go shopping on black friday. The outlet mall in Castle Rock opened at 11PM Thanksgiving night. So we went. Below is us in the car on our way!

We shopped for hours! (and I mean hours.) We left the house at about 9:30 PM Thursday night, and did not return home untill 8AM Friday Morning. We all found something to buy at the outlet mall, and at about 3:30 AM we headed to Walmart. We had heard that the traffic is terrible because everyone wants to get there. So we went early. We were parked walking around at 10:30. See these pictures below. Look at the lights. It is a good thing we got there when we did!
There was a deal that if you were the first 100 at the chocolate factory you got a free caramel apple. See below. This is us waiting for the store to open. We arrived at 10:30 to ensure we got apples.
After walmart we went to Kohls. We then were so tired, and our feet really hurt. So we decided it was time to eat. We headed to I-HOP. We ate breakfast and then headed to Target. We didn't find anything here, and just headed home; which lands us to 8AM. It was a fun night/morning. This now brings us to my birthday! (which was on black friday) See the post below to see what we did next!
Megan's Birthday
For my birthday we were still in Colorado. The whole family went bowling. We played a few games and then went to Hacienda Colorado for dinner. We also got amazing chocolate cake from Hacienda. They all sang birthday to me at the restaurant. We then went home, and played some Mario Kart on the Wii.

Thanksgiving
We were so lucky to go to colorado for Thanksgiving. The whole imediate family was there on Megan's side. A great dinner was prepared. Aunt Joy, Uncle Eric, their kids Berkeley and Niko, and Christy all came over too. We went around the Table while eating and talked about all the things that we are thankful for. (Family Tradition!) After we were done eating we broke out the Rock Band 2 for a few hours. Later we played Presidents and Scum, and just hung out all night. It was a great day!

Tarl's Birthday Birthday!!!
Tarl's Pre-Birthday
The day before Tarl's birthday I threw a surprise party for him. We were heading out of town on his B-Day and would not be able to celebrate in Rexburg. He had no idea
what we were planning.
We all sat around and talked for a while. Later we watched Kung Fu Panda, and ate popcorn. We had also had cucumber sandwiches, crackers, cheese, and summer sausage. It was a fun night!

So Grateful...

So Tarl and I have really been trying to figure out how on earth we were going to pay for our tuition this semester. We had been paying all of our bills, tithing, insurance, everything, you name it, but still were coming up short every month to even start paying off our tuition. So today I logged into my school e-mail and I had recieved an e-mail from the school about financial aid. I looked at it, and nothing had changed in my pell grants just an asteric reminding me to have the right amount of credits next semester to recieve aid. So I was a bit bummed, but then I scrolled down more and realized I recieved a scholarship that had paid the rest of my tuition off ($750). This was a complete shock to both Tarl and me. The greatest thing is I did not even apply for this scholarship because I did not fit in the eligibility category. So it is a total blessing. A huge load has been lifted, and we are just so happy.

How it began...

I was going to school up in Rexburg. A long time family friend called me and we decided to hang out. Little did I know that his room mate would be Tarl. We went to some girls birthday party that night that neither I or Tarl knew. I actually was not even paying attention to Tarl becuase one of his other room mates wanted me to play a trick with him on another girl at the party. I was pretending to be going out with him...but I was still in high school. We got another girl in on it who coaches the high school basketball team. She said she was my coach. We made one girl pretty mad, and eventually let everyone know. So going through this whole scheme I did not have very much time for Tarl, but he was persistant, and we talked a lot that night. After this night Tarl got my phone number from that family friend, and we started to hang out. He knew I loved the TV series 24 so we watched it together. We eventually started dating, and then I broke it off because, well, I was 18 and did not want to get serious, but sometime things don't go as planned, and that's okay! One week he went out of town and I really realized how much I loved him, and I truly missed him. We were both set up on blind dates that week he was gone, and they were terrible. We were glad to be together when he got back. We dated, and then Dec. 25th, 2006 got engaged. (That's another story!) Then March 3rd, 2007 we were married for time and all eternity!
Blogging...

Well I think that blogging is a great idea, but I have just not had the time to start it. So tonight now that it is after 11:00 pm I have decided why not? I could always use another thing to waste my time with. I hope you all enjoy. We don't do too much so hopefully we have enough fun information for you snoop around in for some time. Enjoy!
